Here's a great hack on building a 40 GB iPod using your iPod and an external hard drive. It's a regular 3.5″ hard drive working with the iPod. But, it's not recommended that you do this w/a fully functioning or perfectly good iPod, which will void the warranty if you open the case. Ck out more on how to hack your iPod...... HERE.
