Defragmentation: Speed up your iPod

Tuesday, May 17, 2005
To run the defragmenter plug your iPod into your computer, go to “My Computer” and look for your iPod, which should be displayed as a separate volume (for me it is my E drive). Then right click on it and select “Properties”. Then go to “Tools”. You should see “Error Checking”, “Defragmentation”, and “Back-Up”. Go ahead and click on “Defragmentation”. Then analyze and defrag your iPod. Your iPod should work faster then before.
